We knew each other as co-workers at 20th Century Fox. Jen worked in Human Resources, Administration and Mauricio was in Human Resources, Information Systems. On occasion, Jen would need employee reports and she would go to Mauricio. As time passed, we grew to respect each others professionalism, collegiality, and expertise in our respective fields. That is where our friendship began to grow.

Over the years, we continued to remain in touch and in 2022, we started hanging out more frequently. In August 2023, Mauricio asked Jen to make their relationship official and she accepted!

As the year progressed, we continued to grow closer and enjoyed each others company going to concerts, movies, wine tasting, and traveling together.

In 2024, after months of practicing, Mauricio spoke to Jen’s parents to ask their permission for their daughter’s hand in marriage. While on a trip to Las Vegas, Mauricio decorated the hotel room (in Jen’s absence) and upon returning from dinner, got down on one knee to ask if she would spend the rest of their lives together.

Because she said, YES, we will gather in Santa Barbara on Saturday, July 5th, 2025, to hear us both say, I DO!
